Breakfast Get Ready for the day ahead
Daily Check In/ Registration Question: If you were interviewing your teacher for next year, what questions would you want to ask them? Send a selfie with your ideas or email your ideas to: Aine.o’shea@invergordonacademy.org.uk
Health and Wellbeing How do people choose what jobs they will have? Can you ask someone in your house how they chose or would choose what job they are doing or would want.
Break
Numeracy- Money Decide on how much money you are going to start your day with. This imaginary amount of money will in your ‘bank account’. Write it down on the top of a piece of paper. Can you make your own credit card? Or is there an old high life card or something in your house you could use. Every time you have a meal, snack, drink or need your parents help they will deduct money from your account. They will tell you how much it cost and you can figure out what your new balance is. Note for parents: don’t let you little one start the day with too much in the account. I would recommend £20-£50. This is a fun activity to try and show them that paying contactless/ card payments is still spending money.
Literacy- reading comprehension Kid Normal https://stories.audible.com/pdp/B07533YSBN?ref=adbl_ent_anon_sc_pdp_pc_0 Listen to chapter 16 of Kid Normal. (this is a long chapter, take breaks if you need to) Questions: Why do you think no one other than Murph was suspicious of the wasp? What could Murphs mum do to stop the move? Follow up activity: Write a letter from Murph to his mum explaining how you feel about having to move again.
Have you registered? Please send a photo of some completed work to the above email address, I’d love to add lots to our work to be proud of.
