I have been so impressed with the progress being made in reading.

A fantastic way of helping learning at home is encouraging your little one to talk to you, answer questions and take turns. This helps increase their vocabulary and has a big impact on their literacy progress. In class we love Heads Up as a way of getting us talking

We had a fantastic time showing Goose around the woods yesterday. I’m not sure who was more excited!

As some of you may know I recently got a puppy. The class have been asking to meet him so I’m hoping (weather permitting) to have him join us in the woods this afternoon for about 15 minutes. He will be kept on a lead the whole time but is still very young and excitable. If for any reason you would prefer if your child was not present for this, let me know. Please help keep this a secret from the children to avoid any disappointment the weather might throw at us today.

Over the last few weeks I have been completing reading assessments. As a result of these assessments we have some changes to reading levels. For some children this has meant being moved on to more challenging books. If you have any questions about this or how to support reading at home, just ask!

This morning I was treated to a ballet performance by some of our P2/3 class. It’s lovely to see their confidence and imagination continue to grow
